To be considered for Quality Assurance Manager, here’s what you’ll need to bring with you: Business or Technical Degree with 5 years management and/or related leadership experience in a manufacturing environment. 8 years’ professional/ technical experience in a manufacturing environment Thorough understanding of the requirements necessary for a functional Quality Management System and FAA PMA/TSOA and Repair Station operations Expertise in team building, career development, and performance management. Spanish speaking ability is a plus. As a Quality Assurance Manager, you will: Assuring 100% Product quality to customer through collaborating and consultancy with peers and functional leaders to establish best practices and by sharing the “Quality First” message across all levels. Lead the teams within the quality organization which then provide the necessary Quality Management System (QMS) framework and objectives to the rest of the Business Unit Ensure the Quality Management System is compliant to 3rd party regulatory agencies such as AS9100/ISO9001, FAA PMA/TSOA Production Approval Holder, and FAA Part 145 Repair Station Ensure and promote customer engagement through effective communication and interactions. Report Key Process Indicators that improve customer satisfaction and financial performance. Accountable for the framework necessary to support the Quality Management System. This includes Quality personnel specific accountabilities and maintaining procedural methods, in accordance with AS9100 & ISO9001. Responsible for the compliance, execution, and maintenance to FAA PMA/TSOA and Repair Station certifications and EASA certification. Oversee the activity of the Blacksburg - North Quality Engineering staff & the incorporation of organizational excellence through Lean practices and continuous improvement tool usage. Responsible for team oversight and direction towards reduction in scrap cost, rework cost and quality escapes to customers. Manage/oversee new design releases with Design Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Engineering, Tool Design, and Technical Writing staff. Develop Quality personnel to better achieve business goals in addition to individual career development. Implement the necessary protocols for achieving the customer’s contractual expectations. Daily interface with Production Supervisors, Operators, Operations Support, and multiple offshore operations on production/quality related issues. Be the customer point of contact for manufacturing and quality related content such as Failure Analysis and Root Cause and Corrective Actions. Maintain an environment consistent with Moog’s Values. Be an agent for change and continuous improvement. Continuous improvement is fundamental to Moog’s Quality Policy and is necessary to maintain our high-quality products and customer relationships.
