Our client, the global leader in talent innovation, is seeking a Business Development 
Specialist to help build and maintain our sales pipeline and to help our cross-functional 
teamwork smarter. Reporting to the Head of Americas Marketing and collaborating closely 
with our commercial teams, you’ll source, drive, and build relationships with prospects 
across key B2B verticals. If you are looking for a diverse company with a great culture

Key Responsibilities:
Source new sales prospects and reach out to them to secure appointments and product 
Reach out to leads captured and nurtured by the Marketing Team to secure appointments and 
product demonstrations
Effectively communicate the value of our SHL products and services to prospective clients 
while learning about their needs to see if there is a good fit
Partner with Enterprise, Core, and Strategic Accounts teams to create customized plans to 
support sales cycles and drive urgency
Provide feedback to Marketing Team regarding the quality of marketing-sourced leads
Recruit key client and prospect executives to webinars, virtual events, etc.

Required Skills & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related area
6 months up to 5 years of relevant business development experience
Able to think strategically and tactically. Able to maintain a positive attitude in the 
face of criticism, rejection, or failure
Excellent communication (verbal, writing), time management, and problem-solving skills
Able to skillfully negotiate, promote/sell ideas persuasively
Ability to establish credibility with senior-level executives
Experience collaborating with and leading cross-functional teams (marketing, sales, 
customer success, etc.)

Our Ideal Candidate Also Has:
Proficiency with Excel
Experience using Salesforce.com, ZoomInfo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, etc.  
Knowledge of B2B solution buying cycles
Experience with Account-Based Marketing
