JOB DESCRIPTION:


As a Senior Marketing Analyst, you will be responsible for prepare the company’s market 
research, forecasting, and competitive intelligence data for all Commercial Aviation 
Solutions Product Line.  Responsibilities include market research, forecasting, 
competitive and market analysis, intelligence activities, fleet/equipment database 
management, value propositions, pricing support, new product development activities and 
roadmap support.  Sr Marketing Analyst will collaborate and provide support to rest of 
Product Managers on the team in a matrix organization.

Essential Functions:

FORECASTING:

Manages and oversees forecasting activities.  Responsible for analyzing current sales (in 
partnership with Sales Operations/Planning office), market trends, and predictive 
forecasting for the business. 
Create and update ramp rates for all major OEMs across multiple markets on quarterly 
basis. Publish for use by sales and BD in bids and business cases.
ANALYZING:

Analysis of market reports; analytics that can be used by the divisions in the business
Compiles and analyzes statistical data using modern and traditional methods.
Interprets data, formulate reports, and make recommendations for the voice of the customer
Maintains aircraft production and standard/option equipment databases
Ensures visibility with corporate as it relates to forecasting activities.
Value proposition analysis for all product lines.
Manages Market reports and performs analysis of marketing data
COMPETITIVE RESEARCH/TRENDS:

Collects data on consumers, competitors and marketplace and prepares reports on findings 
and conclusions
Provide competitive analysis on various companies’ market offerings, identify market 
trends, pricing/business models, sales and methods of operation
Performs SWAT/SWOT analysis, etc (Competitors and internal CAS divisions with support of 
Product Managers)
Use of patent database tool to research competitor technology trends and research areas. 
Identify white space opportunities
NEW PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT: 

Prepares preliminary new product assessments and market analysis in association with 
accounting and sales to determine viability of proposed projects. 
Assists with research and analysis related to business plans for new product development.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in technical/engineering, marketing or business area of study.
9+ years of related experience in market research and analysis
Prior experience working in  Aerospace industry
Preferred Additional Skills:  

Exceptional computer skills with Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, PageMaker; and 
Internet skills. VBA or other database language a plus
Ability to compile and interpret financial and statistical data.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Must be highly motivated, results and detail oriented and work with minimal supervision.
Ability to work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines.
Excellent organizational and program management skills preferred.
