Project Management Responsibilities: project execution, task identification, task prioritization and scheduling, task ordering, time tracking and reporting, financial tracking and reporting, early problem identification and conflict resolution, hardware requisition, supporting other engineers in group, and attending project status meetings. Also includes overseeing daily operations and activities of project(s) ranging in size from up to $3M. This position is responsible for ensuring overall profitability of the project. Develops and executes engineering implementation plans for the project Responsible for detailed knowledge of scopes of work Assigns work to meet overall project deadlines. Ensures that all project team members clearly understand the scope of W-M engineering responsibilities The ability to drive project work independently and report to Business Unit Manager Develops engineering schedules for Wunderlich-Malec team and customer requirements Evaluates progress on project(s) and details changes. Assigns work to project teams Responsible for engineering-related purchasing and subcontractor requirements Responsible for development of costs and proposal of change orders to contract scope Develops and implements a cash flow plan for the project including A/R collections Can be responsible for project invoicing to the customer if no other PM is assigned Serves as a W-M engineering interface with the customer during all phases of the project Ensures compliance with all regulations, codes, etc as they apply to the contract and project(s). Capable of performing client’s system studies such as Arc Flash, Coordination, and Short Circuit Studies Engineering Responsibilities: Lighting, power, and low voltage systems design and performing system studies for commercial and industrial clientele Technical writing including project definition and requirements, clearly delineated status reporting, requests for information, customer correspondence, and code commenting Project documentation: task/periodic status reporting, percent complete estimating, production and assembly of required project manuals, organization, and maintenance of current network-based project files, phone transcripts, meeting minutes, preparing purchase orders, specifying electrical systems, preparing price quotes, etc. Some sales and marketing is involved. This includes the ability to identify sales opportunities, confidence to suggest scope changes with justifications, ability to network across targeted industries, vision to try new marketing approaches, and willingness to take on new marketing responsibilities as needed General administration such as paperwork, copying, printing, faxing, and using a computer Minimum Requirements: Education – A BA/BS degree in engineering or related discipline (BSEE degree preferred). Equivalent experience may be substituted. Experience – 10+ years of directly related experience in building systems electrical engineering. Strong leadership and client relation skills are required.
