Stack Currently OnPrem and migrating to GCP Kubernetes is our default choice for microservices. Current language of choice is Java. Datastores: MySQL, Redshift, Oracle, BigQuery Data Processing: Hadoop, Beam, Dataflow Messaging: Google PubSub, Kafka You will: Supervise and drive daily software development activities of a development team building cutting edge technology products and solutions Prepare execution and delivery plans with product and project managers – make sure requirements and deadlines are negotiated and clearly defined Lead efforts between multiple technical groups to achieve project goals and deadlines Ensure that high quality, highly reliable software development projects are delivered on time Ensure the ongoing training and development of direct reports Requirements: TECHNICAL SKILLS: 8+ years Engineering experience 3+ years experience actively managing large n-tier software development projects 3+ years programming experience Experience with delivering complex, high-performance systems on aggressive schedules Strong knowledge and experience with software development methodologies and best practices Strong knowledge and experience with database and system architecture Strong knowledge of design patterns and scalable architecture. Must have a good understanding of API development and knowledge of developing and deploying REST-based micro-services. Must have hands-on experience working with database engines, such as MySQL, Oracle or Postgres. Must have experience with comprehensive testing (e.g. unit, integration, etc.). Experience working with modern, cloud-native paradigms and technologies (e.g. Kubernetes, containers, microservices, etc.) is a plus. Experience with programmatic management of digital ad platforms (e.g. Google Ads, Bing Ads, Facebook Ads, etc) is a plus.
