We are currently seeking a Lead Software Engineer with experience leading embedded 
software projects. This individual will have the opportunity to work on cutting edge 
Infrared Product lines and world-class Space Avionics systems. This role will be 
responsible for a variety of software tasks throughout the full lifecycle for designing, 
coding, documenting, and testing embedded systems while leading and mentoring other 
engineers. General knowledge of hardware and communication protocols is a must.

 

Required Competencies/Skills:

Experience developing embedded software using C/C++
Experience with Real-Time Operating Systems
Demonstrated leadership and team-building skills, specifically with software teams
Experience developing plans with costs and schedules for new development projects
Experience writing low level software such as drivers and BSPs
Knowledge of software design and architecture best practices and processes
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
9+ years of experience
Minimum of BS in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or similar
Willing to travel as required.
Pre-employment federal level drug screening and background checks are standard.

Preferred Competencies/Skills:

Experience with Communication Protocols such as Ethernet, RS232/422, 1553, GigE Vision, 
etc.
Experience writing software requirements. Knowledge of DOORS is a plus.
Experience working with other programming languages such as C#, MATLAB, Python, etc.
Experience in the Defense, Space, Aerospace, or similar industries
Experience using software version control tools
Experience using electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes, DMMs, and basic lab 
equipment
Experience with Windows Development Environments (Linux a plus)
Basic knowledge of circuits, schematics, and hardware design
