Capital and Eight Roads Ventures of Fidelity, Banyan 
Capital, and other well-known financial and strategic 
investors.

The company is dedicated to research and development, 
manufacturing, and marketing of image-grade LiDARs and 
related intelligent sensor systems that are essential to 
autonomous driving.

The company currently has a technology team of more than 
30 people with extensive experiences in research and 
development and mass production in the fields of precision 
optics, precision machinery, autonomous driving, sensors, 
semiconductor chips, artificial intelligence, etc.

Responsibilities and Duties

Lead the mechanical design efforts in the next-generation LiDAR products
Collaborate with project manager and multi-discipline teams throughout the development 
process
The scope of works in the design phase including precision motion mechanisms, opto-
mechanical and packaging design
Perform analysis, testing, design iteration and validation of the designs
Deliver engineering documentation accordingly for product release
Implementing and Improving manufacturing processes. Identify process deficiencies and 
develop short/long term solutions to improve those deficiencies

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering required. Master’s degree preferred
8+ years of experience in precision mechanical system development
Proficient with 3D CAD modelling tool. Strongly prefer Creo
Must be proficient in CAD tool specifically Creo 4.0 or above
Relevant hands-on product design experience in precision opto-mechanical or electro-
mechanical devices
Multidisciplinary background in related field such as Mechatronics or opto-mechanics a 
plus
Familiar with mechanical fabrication process and manufacturing flow
Good communication skill
Require good analytical and trouble shooting skills
Good prioritization and project development skill

Interacting with other LiDAR team members within Optical / Electrical / System 
engineering disciplines
Working with system and manufacturing team to ensure smooth operation process
