Our client is seeking a Senior Structural Industrial Engineer with a minimum of ten years of experience who wants to work and grow as a team player within our progressive multi- discipline firm. The successful candidate will be a licensed professional engineer with experience in the design of industrial structures. Expected annual salary of $98,000 – $121,000. Qualifications A four-year degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or a related field Master’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering (preferred) Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) (required) Registration as a Professional Structural Engineer (SE) (preferred) 10+ years of experience in the structural design of industrial buildings, lifting and rigging plans, cranes, crane runways, dam gates, bulkheads, hoists, below-the-hook lifting devices, OSHA platforms and fall protection, pre-engineered metal buildings, heavy equipment, earth retention systems, mining equipment, material handling, grain silos, oil and gas structures, storage tanks, and similar structures Experience with steel structure fatigue analysis (preferred) Experience with seismic design of industrial structures (preferred) Experience with dynamically loaded structures (preferred) Experience with computer software programs and analysis systems (such as Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, RISA 3D, Revit, Mathcad, Enercalc, SolidWorks, etc.) Design experience with various materials – steel, concrete, wood, masonry, and aluminum Knowledge and experience with the International Building Code (IBC) and US design standards such as Crane Manufacturer’s Association of America (CMAA), American Society of Mechanical Engineers – Below the Hook Lifting Devices (BTH), OSHA, American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC), American Concrete Institute (ACI), AISC Design Guide 7, etc. Experience working in an engineering consulting environment Experience working as a client for federal government and public entities (i.e, USACE, Bureau of Reclamation, Public Utility Districts, etc.) Excellent leadership, supervisory, writing, and verbal communication skills Experience and ability to maintain working relationships with clients Experience as a project manager (preferred) Experience working as part of a multi-discipline team (preferred) Experience working as part of a design-build team (preferred)
