Robotics Software Engineer – Houston or Austin, Texas
Position Overview
We are seeking a Junior Robotics Software Engineer to support the development of advanced 
robotic systems in the areas of teleoperation, machine learning, autonomy, and control 
systems. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work alongside experienced 
engineers while contributing to cutting-edge robotics research and development projects.

Key Responsibilities
Develop, maintain, and optimize software applications and scripts for robotic systems.
Design, implement, and test software in accordance with technical specifications and 
engineering requirements.
Integrate and validate software using prototype robotic hardware and simulation 
environments.
Troubleshoot, debug, and enhance existing robotics software applications.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to develop innovative robotic 
solutions.
Support senior engineering staff in the preparation of technical proposals and customer 
presentations.
Assist in identifying new business opportunities and contribute to research and 
development (R&D) initiatives related to robotics and autonomous systems.
Document software designs, testing procedures, and technical results.
Required Qualifications
Master or Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Robotics, or a related 
engineering discipline.
1–5 years of professional experience in software development or robotics engineering.
Strong programming skills in C++, Python, and ROS/ROS2.
Experience developing software applications on both Linux and Windows platforms.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
Ability to work effectively both independently and within a collaborative engineering 
team.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with robotic software development and robotic control systems.
Experience with robotics frameworks or similar middleware.
Experience developing software for autonomous or teleoperated robotic systems.
Familiarity with machine learning, computer vision, or AI applications for robotics.
Experience contributing to technical proposals, research projects, and customer 
demonstrations.
Strong interest in advancing state-of-the-art robotics, autonomy, artificial intelligence, 
and human-robot interaction technologies.
