Position Overview As our project manager you will oversee designated projects for the Operations Department. The position requires planning and developing strategy, including defining the goals and timeline for the project(s) you will supervise. Reports to Director of Logistics Essential Duties and Responsibilities DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Managing day-to-day activities as it relates to bringing new products or continuous improvement activities to market. Managing long- and short-term plans, including setting project timelines and targets and ensuring completion of necessary milestones while adhering to timing and budgetary deadlines Creating long- and short-term plans, including setting targets for milestones and adhering to deadlines Delegating tasks on the project to employees best positioned to complete them Making effective decisions when presented with multiple options for how to progress with the project Serving as a point of contact for teams when multiple units are assigned to the same project to ensure team actions remain in synergy Communicating with executives or the board to keep the project aligned with their goals Performing quality control on the project throughout development to maintain the standards expected Adjusting schedules and targets on the project as needs or financing for the project change Other duties as assigned by management SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS Leadership skills Interpersonal skills Decisiveness Problem-solving skills The ability to delegate effectively Time management skills Education/experience: BS/BA required with a minimum of 5 years of relevant Commercial or Project Management experience within the manufacturing industry (regulated environment). Advanced Project management and organizational skills with a clear focus on project management principles to drive accountability and a focus on deliverables, risk management and process improvement Demonstrated leadership skills with an ability to influence others, make decisions.
