The company designs and manufactures custom choke, and axial control valves to meet the customer’s various application needs for severe service environments. The valves are available in a full range of materials and configurations size 2″ to 16″ and pressure classes ASME 600 to 2500, API 2,000 to 20,000. The company is API 6A and 17D certified Position Details: The engineering team is working on several multi-million dollar projects. Similar-sized projects are being negotiated. The engineering team is looking to increase its capacity to manage the workload with highest quality and with timely delivery. Responsibilities: In a small organization, many employees assume several roles and responsibility as the daily priorities change. The minimum responsibilities of the position of a design engineer are as follows: Evaluate new and existing valve designs Design new valves and actuators Assist in the testing of new and existing valves Modify existing designs to incorporate new technologies for improvement Resolving product malfunctions or providing technical recommendations Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Petroleum engineering, or related field. 2 to 4 years of engineering design experience. 1 year minimum practical experience with Autodesk Inventor software. Ability and willingness to work with the assembly and testing personnel. Show interest and ability to learn new skills, share and apply the knowledge gained. Additional desirable skills: Experience in manufacturing environment. Knowledgeable in API 6A standard Experience with National Instruments (NI) software and hardware Experience with FEA & CFD
