JOB DESCRIPTION:


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Mechanical design and support
Create detailed assembly drawings
Create conceptual drawings and simulations layouts
Create and maintain detailed Bill of Materials
Support all technical RFQ inquiries to include development of conceptual drawings, cost 
estimates and delivery capabilities.
Meet with customers and obtain detailed information in regard to certain projects
Manage assigned projects related to mechanical system engineering
Preparation of equipment manuals and supporting documentation
Provide technical engineering support for all departments as required
SECONDARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop capabilities to support offline programming tools.
Develop and maintain system technical and operational documentation for all Daihen Pre-
Engineered work cells.
Respond to customer technical support inquiries.
Electrical controls design and support.
Prepare and distribute technical documentation, presentations, and bulletin reports.
Respond to sales inquiries and support/prepare engineering quotations.
Assemble, test and troubleshoot robotic and system equipment.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS

Knowledge of: Mechanical design engineering techniques; basic electrical controls, 
manufacturing, integration and machining techniques and processes.

Ability to: Understand and carry out oral and written instructions; use a personal 
computer; use of Solid Edge (3D) and AutoCAD (2D) software; communicate in an effective 
manner. Perform physical assembly of mechanical and electrical components. Maintain and 
demonstrate a positive and cooperative attitude in the work place and toward fellow 
employees.

Skill / Experience in: Engineering related environment; preparation of technical 
documents and materials; Bill of Materials development; creating designs and drawings 
in 2D & 3D CAD environment (specifically Solid Edge), integration of mechatronic 
systems.

Education: Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and 
knowledge for successful performance would be qualifying. Typical qualifications would 
be equivalent to:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent formal or informal experience 
and education to perform the position successfully; and
Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in mechanical design and system integration; 
preferred background in robotics or automation.
Must be able to travel for special events as needed - Less than 5% of the time.

Must have a valid driver's license.

Must have or be able to obtain a Passport.
