Senior Business Development Manager Law Enforcement, Public Safety & Security Solutions Position Summary We are seeking an experienced and highly connected Senior Business Development Manager to drive business growth for our next-generation AI-powered robotic security solutions. This individual will focus on expanding our presence within the law enforcement, police, sheriff's offices, corrections, public safety, private security, and critical infrastructure security markets throughout the United States. The ideal candidate possesses an extensive network of decision-makers and procurement officials within law enforcement agencies, government organizations, and security companies, with a proven track record of developing new business opportunities and successfully securing government and commercial contracts. This position plays a critical role in establishing strategic customer relationships, identifying procurement opportunities, and accelerating the adoption of our AI robotic security platforms. Key Responsibilities • Develop and execute strategic business development plans to increase sales and market penetration within law enforcement, public safety, and security sectors. • Leverage an established network of police departments, sheriff's offices, state law enforcement agencies, federal agencies, corrections organizations, public safety departments, and private security firms to generate qualified business opportunities. • Identify, qualify, and pursue new government and commercial contracts through direct customer engagement and strategic partnerships. • Establish and maintain strong relationships with police chiefs, sheriffs, command staff, procurement officials, security directors, government agencies, system integrators, distributors, and strategic partners. • Identify and respond to Requests for Information (RFI), Requests for Proposal (RFP), Requests for Quotation (RFQ), and other public procurement opportunities. • Lead customer presentations, product demonstrations, pilot program discussions, and executive briefings. • Collaborate with engineering, product management, and executive leadership to develop competitive technical and commercial proposals. • Negotiate pricing, contract terms, teaming agreements, and strategic partnerships. • Represent the company at law enforcement conferences, security exhibitions, government procurement events, and industry trade shows. • Monitor market trends, competitive activity, government funding programs, and emerging technologies affecting public safety and security. • Maintain an accurate sales pipeline, forecast revenue opportunities, and provide regular reports to executive management. • Develop long-term customer relationships to maximize repeat business and strategic account growth. Required Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Criminal Justice, Engineering, Marketing, or a related field. An MBA is preferred. • Minimum of 8 years of successful business development, government sales, or strategic account management experience. • Demonstrated success securing contracts with law enforcement agencies, government organizations, public safety departments, or private security companies. • Extensive existing professional network within one or more of the following: o Municipal Police Departments o County Sheriff's Offices o State Police and Highway Patrol o Federal Law Enforcement Agencies o Corrections Departments o Homeland Security Organizations o Public Safety Agencies o Private Security Companies • Proven ability to generate new business through existing executive-level relationships. • Strong understanding of government procurement processes and competitive bidding procedures. • Excellent negotiation, presentation, communication, and relationship management skills. • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while managing multiple opportunities simultaneously. • Willingness to travel throughout the United States as required. Preferred Qualifications • Experience selling AI technologies, robotics, autonomous systems, drones, surveillance systems, physical security solutions, or public safety technologies. • Experience working with system integrators, technology distributors, and government prime contractors. • Knowledge of federal, state, and local government procurement vehicles and cooperative purchasing programs. • Prior law enforcement, military, homeland security, or public safety experience is highly desirable. • Active security clearance is a plus.
