About the Role As the engineering manager for our Platform team, you will play an essential role in planning and executing our technical roadmap. You will own our infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and technical platform. We’re looking for someone who is impact-orientated and willing to partner closely with the rest of the engineering team. Responsibilities Own your team's technical output and set the pace. Deliver high quality, performant, maintainable infrastructure and pipelines that accelerate our overall engineering velocity. Coach and mentor the Platform team by acting as a player/coach. Lead through example. Support and amplify your teammates’ strengths. Develop and own your team’s roadmap. Build rapport with the broader engineering team to inform your priorities. Identify bottlenecks and implement improvements to engineering processes, tools, and procedures. Promote a culture of collaboration and learning across engineering, product, and design team via mentoring, documentation, presentations, or other knowledge sharing methods. Qualifications 7+ years of experience, with 2+ years of management experience Significant professional experience directly managing DevOps, Infrastructure, or Platform engineers Self directed attitude. You have a record of taking solutions from idea to impact Great communication skills. Clear, concise, and able to communicate technical concepts to less technical partners Significant professional experience standing up infrastructure with Terraform or other infrastructure as code tools, building CI/CD pipelines, and containerizing applications with Docker Deep expertise authoring automation using scripting languages such as bash Familiarity with a cloud ecosystem such as AWS, GCP, or Azure (AWS preferred) Excellent at managing ambiguity. Masterful ability to break down big, messy problems (demanding requirements, bugs, etc.) into smaller parts with tractable solutions and clear iterations Growth mindset and a sense of humor.
